Join us for a fun charity golf tournament and social at The Links at Terranea, benefitting The Calvin Preston Foundation. The Links at Terranea is a beautiful 9-hole, par-3 Southern California oceanfront golf course, with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island.
This is a co-ed event and is open to all – You do not need to be a PFT member to participate in this experience. Beginner golfers are welcomed.

About The Calvin Preston Foundation:
Calvin was born in the summer of 2006; he entered the world full of life and light. A fun, loving and joyful little guy.
By a very early age his beautiful personality shinned, he played hard and loved harder. He loved sports, music, and even took up gardening.
Weeks shy of his seventh birthday, his mother Mary, stood in a doctor’s office and heard the words: “Your child has cancer”. In April 2013, Calvin was diagnosed with blood cancer, and their life forever changed. Shortly after, Calvin’s treatment began and so did a new life for him and his mother. As a single mother, Mary did her best to navigate a new life was full of appointments, medications and so much more.
During an eleven months long uphill battle, after endless hospital stays, surgeries, transfusions, chemo, radiation and an aggressive bone marrow transplant, Calvin was the sickest he’d ever been. Still there was definite light at the end of the tunnel. After many weeks of endless hiccups, Calvin’s transplant was successful, and he was finally in remission. The future looked bright and finally, cancer would be a thing of the past.
In early March, Calvin was taken to the hospital as a routine precautionary measure. By that evening, Calvin was in ICU and unable to breathe on his own. Hours became days and weeks; and with each passing day Calvin’s body & state only worsened. Unknowingly Calvin’s lungs were severely damaged, to no avail and every day only brought unfortunate news.
On the evening of March 24, 2014 Mary held Calvin in her arms as he took his last breath.
Calvin now lives in our hearts, he lives in the lives we touch, in the smiles we share and in the beautiful way life continues to bless our paths. The Calvin Preston Foundation was born and founded by Calvin’s mom, Mary shortly after Calvin’s passing. CPF not only honors Calvin’s life, it also helps countless families with children battling cancers in the toughest battle of their lives.
Cancer may have taken Calvin from our arms, but never from our hearts. Further proving that a mother’s love is endless, and although loss can break our hearts wide open, it can simultaneously empower us to help and inspire others along the way.
